Dr. Chelsey Benedix

Veterinarian

Overview:

I knew I wanted to be a vet from a very young age. I was always rescuing animals and bringing them home to be part of the family. I volunteered at Oakdale Veterinary Hospital when I was in high school and knew it was the field I wanted to be in. I've worked in the veterinary field since 2010 and have never looked back since.

Clinical Interests: Ophthalmology and surgery

Education: Bachelors of Animal Science and Degree of Veterinary Medicine, UC Davis

Career: 

Started as an RVT at Sylvan Veterinary Hospital in 2014. In 2021 I returned to Sylvan Veterinary Hospital to practice veterinary medicine. Total years practicing veterinary medicine: Started my journey in veterinary medicine in 2011.

Extracurricular:

Community Involvement/Volunteer work: In L.A. I participated in low-income vaccine clinics with DownTown Dog Rescue and volunteered cleaning up ocean harbors.
