Dr. Chelsey Benedix

Veterinarian

Overview:

I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age. I was always rescuing animals and bringing them home to be part of the family. I volunteered at Oakdale Veterinary Hospital when I was in high school and knew it was the field I wanted to be in. I've worked in the veterinary field since 2010 and have never looked back since.

Clinical Interests: Ophthalmology and surgery

Education: Bachelors of Animal Science and Degree of Veterinary Medicine, UC Davis

Career: I started my journey in veterinary medicine in 2011 and initially joined Sylvan Veterinary Hospital as an RVT 2014. In 2021 I returned to Sylvan Veterinary Hospital to practice veterinary medicine.

Community Involvement & Volunteering: I have participated in low-income vaccine clinics in Los Angeles with Downtown Dog Rescue and volunteered cleaning up ocean harbors.
