Reaching beyond my practice

While visiting California in 2005, the opportunity to work in the United States arose. I successfully undertook the National and State board exams in April 2006 and commenced work at Sylvan Veterinary Hospital in August 2006.”

Continuing Education: In 2007, attended courses in ultrasonography. Commenced her Master of Veterinary Science (Small Animal Practice) and completed well in excess of the annual minimum requirements of Continuing Education by attending courses offered locally by the NSJVMA and UC Davis.

Community Involvement: NSJVMA Stanislaus County Representative for 2008 responsible for organizing low cost rabies clinics throughout the county. NSJVMA/CVMA Guardians delegate for 2008 . Volunteers monthly with the spay and neuter program at Alley Cat Guardians. Annual one week commitments with Rural Area Veterinary Service and the training of undergraduates from across the states.

Continuing Education: In order to provide high quality veterinary medicine, I strive to exceed the annual number of CE hours required by the State of California. To me it is important to participate in as much continuing education as I can. I recently completed two courses in abdominal ultrasound.
